I can't see any pictures on Jalopnik on iOS and I have to go on a separate (thank god non-new-kinja'd) notifications page. Don't they test kinja on devices other than macs and windows?

Oh you poor thing, you still think they test new layouts before rolling them out?

Production is the best place to test code. It's where the freshest data is.

that's true, lol
plus we're not paying customers. the worst we can do is stop using the site. they don't have to worry about getting sued.
if my company didn't test in dev with good test data that approximated production data we'd be bankrupt by now. clients get touchy about things breaking or causing data leaks..

Oh I know, I've dealt with enough cowboy coding and customers that say 'chuck it in production, she'll be right'.

Everyone is always in a hurry. Then if a mistake happens they wish they had a DeLorean so they could go back in time and finish their testing.

Me too. Since I couple of days, kinkya won't load anymore the pictures from the local PC. I had to resort again to imgur.

I'll try Imgur, it sucks because I had the perfect picture for one post.

Don't worry. In about 4 weeks you'll get used to it and eventually even like it. Then, without warning, they'll change it again. And you'll hate that redesign for a few weeks, start liking it, and it'll change. See that pattern?
